What makes SFS&C different?  

 

We have designed safe and effective group exercise programs that will target all 10 components of fitness (Cardiovascular, Stamina, Strength, Agility, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy).

What should I expect when I sign up with SFS&C?

 

When you sign up you will receive an assessment, goal setting and tracking, a comprehensive total body workout program, nutrition consults, accountability within a team setting, and life long friendships.  If you show up, do the workouts, and maintain a healthy diet, you will see results.

Are the training classes held outdoor only?

 

100% of the Cross-training classes are held outdoors. Refer to the SFS&C Twitter account for updates and location.

I have not worked out in quite a while, can I sign up for a Cross-training or Fighter's Conditioning?

 

Call ahead 415- 963-4280 or send us an email at raul@sfsnc.com, we will work with you.  We encourage you to register for a Workshop 101 class first. At the Workshop, we will conduct an initial assessment and teach you some fundamentals. Our programs are set and designed specifically for 6 week intervals and it is best to join at week 1 of the class session.  Your Cross-training workout will be scaled to your ability.

 

Please note Fighter's Conditioning is an advanced class (6 week session) designed for world class athletes and fighters; you may not be there yet, but we believe we can get you there.   We will assess your ability and recommend the right class/training course for you.

Where do we meet?

 

Cross-training meets at various locations throught Golden Gate park. Check our twitter feed for class locations and updates.

​I can't find you guys - I am lost. What do I do?

 

For regular updates on our training location, follow us on Twitter @SFSNC and Facebook.  Each day of training, specific site locations will be posted.

Should I have anything to eat before I workout? 

 

In general, it is ok to eat a small snack to fuel your workout. Click here to reference an article titled 'Fueling Before, During and After Exercise', posted by the EAS Academy.

​I am not a runner. How much running do you do?

 

The program does not focus solely on running.  On average, we'll run once a week.  Throughout the 6 week session, the level of intensity with our cardiovascular activity will fluctuate based on the program's design and we will work to improve your ability.  Various exercises will be incorporated to build your endurance.

​What do I wear and bring to the first day of class?

 

Wear athletic clothing and running shoes. Bring some water and complete the 'Physical Activity Readiness-Questionnaire,' PAR-Q form.

​I already workout and belong to a gym. Why should I join?

 

At SF Strength & Conditioning, we are dedicated to providing you the fundamentals to realize successful fitness results. We will ensure that you are targeting all 10 components of fitness through various Cross-training methods.  We will encourage you and keep you motivated and you'll find a great benefit from the support of your peers within the group.  We look forward to participating in your journey to achieving your personal best!
